1974-05-09: Op 09-05-1974 als VANESSA, zijnde een motorschip, metende 4532.33 m3 bruto inhoud volgens zeemeetief afgegeven te's Gravenhage no. 16902 d.d. 01-05-1974, liggende te Martenshoek, door T. van 't Hof, ambtenaar bij de Scheepsmetingsdienst te Groningen, van haar brandmerk voorzien door het inbeitelen van 4607 Z GRON 1974 op het achterschip aan S.B. zijde in het achterschot van het dekhuis op de kampanje, 5.55 m. uit hekplaat, 3.40 m. uit lengteas en 0.95 m. uit dek.

1997-12-14: Tijdens de reis van de Tees naar Aviles met een lading aardappelen, problemen met elektrische voorzieningen direct na vertrek uit Tees; afgemeerd en storing verholpen.

1999-02-05: Tijdens de reis van Bristol naar Falmouth te Barry aangekomen met machineschade en aldaar gerepareerd. Op 8 maart waren de reparaties voltooid en vertrokken naar Falmouth.

1999-08-29: Aankomend te Great Yarmouth met een lading tarwe bij het afmeren de kade geramd waardoor waterlekkage in het ruim ontstond. Schip daarna drooggezet. Op 31 augustus de lading tarwe gelost. Daarna de schade aan romp provisorisch gedicht, schip zeewaardig bevonden en vertrokken naar Rotterdam.

2002-12-29: Bij het afmeren te Ibiza aanzienlijke schade opgelopen. Schade te Bourgas, Bulgarije gerepareerd.

2008-01-03: Final Fate: Ten gevolge van slecht weer gezonken in de Kerch Strait in de Zee van Azov bij de grens tussen Rusland en de Ukraine. Ze was vertrokken met een lading schroot van Berdyansk. Van de tien bemanningsleden en een Ukrainsche loods werd slechts een persoon gered.

Rescuers found only one survivor and the bodies of three crew. The bodies were taken aboard a rescue speedboat. Before the sinking the bulwark was torn from the ship.

Berdyansk 3 January – Two crew are dead and eight are missing after a Bulgarian general cargo ship sank in the Sea of Azov this morning. One man has been rescued after the Vanessa sank in three-metre waves as it headed towards the Kerch Strait bound for Bourgas after loading scrap metal at Berdyansk. The ship sent a distress signal at 0211 this morning local time, but a tug sent to the scene found that it had already sunk. A rescue vessel found two bodies and one severely frostbitten survivor before being forced to return to port as a fresh storm approached. “The rescue ship is coated with ice. It's heading for port Kavkaz with one frostbitten sailor on board. Two helicopters are searching for the missing men," regional ministry spokesman Aleksandr Polenov told Russia Today. "The rescued sailor says he saw four of his fellow crew members on a life raft," he added. There were ten Bulgarian crew and a Ukrainian pilot aboard. Eight seafarers died in November when a storm wrecked four ships in the area.
